Safe Content Policy
In order to make zigvid the clean, fun and safe environment that it is, we need your help. The following are some guidelines to follow regarding appropriate content and conduct on zigvid.com:
- This is a community site. Try to be respectful of that at all times. That does not mean you cannot offer critique of an individual video. You cannot, however, slander the person who posted it. There is no need for direct or personal insults. We will not tolerate cyber-bullying in any form. If you feel you are the target of cyber-bullying or inappropriate comments, please contact us immediately.
- No pornography
- No overt sexual inuendos
- No cursing
- No gratuitous/excessive violence - yes this is somewhat subjective, but we think you can figure out what we mean. Boxing, hockey fights, etc are ok, but a group of high school girls beating up on another girl is not.
- Drinking & drugs, except for public service announcements against their use have no place on zigvid. This is not a site for showing how funny "X" was when drunk. We are pro-sobriety.
The question we ask ourselves when viewing your videos is: "Would I want a child to see this?" We ask all members to keep that question in mind when uploading videos. That does not mean all content should be of interest to children, but it should be something that you'd be alright with, if your child was to see.
Please note, we have a zero tolerance policy for overtly inappropriate behaviors. Members who try to abuse the system, will be banned outright.
While we cannot check into the ownership of all content, we request and expect members to be respectful of copyrights. If you find content on zigvid that is in breech of copyright, please notify us at editor@zigvid.com with the video link and details as to the nature of the copyright infringement, so that we can further investigate the matter. If it is determined that the video is in violation of copyright, we will at that point immediately remove the video.
zigvid is constantly monitored by both staff and member volunteers. NOTHING is posted without approval. That's how we ensure an environment of good viewing, pure and simple.
